talkSPORT betting tips – Best football bets and expert advice for Tuesday 7 May

The second leg of the Champions League semi-finals takes centre stage on Tuesday as PSG look to overturn a 1-0 deficit at home to Borussia Dortmund, but there is interest further down the pecking order to get excited about, too.

Bolton face Barnsley in the first leg of their League One play-off semi-final, while Crawley Town’s rearranged meeting with MK Dons in the League Two play-offs is also scheduled for Tuesday evening after its postponement on Monday.

Bet of the day

MK Dons to win vs Crawley Town - 29/20

Rearranged from Monday afternoon due to a waterlogged pitch at Broadfield Stadium, Crawley Town could find their Wembley hopes dashed when they face MK Dons on Tuesday.

The hosts only made the top seven thanks to the late-season implosion by Barrow and they have won just one of their last five home games.

Two of these five outings - against Doncaster Rovers and Colchester United - ended in defeat and they face a Dons side who ended the season strongly on their travels, beating Forest Green Rovers 2-0 before thrashing Harrogate 5-2 on their final away day of the season.

MK Dons lost here back in August, but they have won three of their last four encounters with Crawley and could exact their revenge on Tuesday.

Special of the day

Bolton to win, Dion Charles to score & both teams to score - 17/5

Bolton are favourites to make light work of Barnsley after the Tykes ended the regular season winless in seven, but they did score in each of those fixtures and should at least find the net against a Bolton side who have kept only one clean sheet in their last five matches.

However, that should not stop the Trotters from easing past the underdogs, with Dion Charles a likely candidate to make the difference at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

The 28-year-old forward is Bolton’s top scorer this season with 20 goals in all competitions, 16 of which came in League One.

He scored two of Bolton’s three goals on the final day of the season and has three across his last two matches.

Long shot of the day

Ian Maatsen to be carded anytime - 11/5

Ian Maatsen went into the referee’s book just 19 minutes into the first leg of this Champions League semi-final and him picking up a card certainly was not out of character.

The 22-year-old, on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Chelsea, has been booked eight times in just 19 starts since his move to Germany and his caution last week made it four yellow cards in his last five appearances.

He is likely to come up against PSG forward Ousmane Dembele, who has drawn an average of 1.5 fouls per 90 minutes in all competitions this season.
