The news that Bonne is catching the eyes of football league sides doesn’t really come as much of a surprise, given his electric form throughout the 2018/19 National League side. In 35 National League games so far this season, Bonne has bagged an impressive 20 goals, picking up four assists along the way as well.

His impressive form has helped Leyton Orient stage a promotion bid as they look to make their way back into the football league. After 36 games, Orient are sat at the top of the National League, one point ahead of Wrexham.

This is Bonne’s second season with The O’s and he looks set to improve on last season’s impressive tally. Despite Orient’s struggles throughout last season, Bonne featured heavily in the 2017/18 season, playing in every game apart from two as they finished in 13th place. He scored 22 goals in 44 games, providing five assists.

The 23-year-old started his career with fellow Championship side Ipswich Town, where he was born. Bonne spent six years with the Ipswich academy, before heading to rivals Norwich for a brief spell. Bonne left Norwich after a matter of months, making the switch to fellow East Anglian side Colchester United.

The striker scored 15 times in 84 appearances for Colchester, also going on two unsuccessful loan spells away to Lincoln City and Woking, scoring a combined total of just one goal in those two spells.

However, he has certainly found his shooting boots at Orient, collecting 42 goals in just under two full seasons with the club.
